Singapore has said India is its important trade and business partner and the two countries have been successful in strengthening these ties. Addressing the Singapore Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SICCI) members at Singapore, Speaker of the island nation's Parliament Halimah Yacob said the two countries have good track record of working closely. Highlighting SICCI's endeavours in meeting Singapore Indian business community needs, Yacob assured that the chamber would continue to play a vital role in the development of Singapore's trade and investment relations with India and Indian businesses globally. The chamber would be sending two business missions to India this year.
