India & America working together with renewed trust in areas of new & emerging technologies, says PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that India and America are working together in every field. Both nations are working with renewed trust in areas of new and emerging technologies. He was speaking at the luncheon organised in his honour by US Vice President Kamala Harris and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Washington today. He said, the sweet melody of the India-US relationship is composed by our people-to-people relations. <br />''<br />''The Prime Minister said, both nations have collaborated to solve the challenges in the bilateral trade. He said, in this span of nine years, India and US have covered a very long and beautiful journey. Mr. Modi said, India and US have added new dimensions of mutual cooperation in defence and strategic areas. He added that both countries have expanded cooperation by being part of the QUAD and I2U2 grouping.<br />''<br />''Speaking on the occasion, US Vice President Kamala Harris said, The history teaching of India has not only influenced her but it has shaped the entire globe. She thanked Mr. Modi for his role and leadership in helping India emerge as a global leader in the 21st century. The US Vice President said, as she travels the world, she has seen India's global impact. She said, in South East Asia, India-made vaccines save lives, in the African continent, India's long-standing partnerships support prosperity and security and through the Indo-Pacific, India helps promote a free and open region. She also thanked Mr. Modi as India decided to join the Artemis Accords.<br />''<br />''US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said, during the last 2.5 years there has been a transformation in the nature of the US-India relationship. He said, the US and India have become indispensable partners. MEA Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said, the discussions focused on further reinforcing the longstanding friendship and cooperation between India and US. He said, the leaders also exchanged assessments on regional and global issues of importance.<br />
