Giving a lead of 219 runs to West Indies, India were all out for 453 in their first innings in the first Cricket Test match at Eden Gardens in Kolkata today. The visitors were all out for 234 in their first innings. Earlier, the hosts resumed the third day's play at 354 for 6. Ravichandran Ashwin completed his century and made 124. Falling short of his double century in his maiden test, Rohit Sharma was out at 177. The duo surpassed the Indian highest seventh wicket partnership of 259 runs between V V S Laxman of 143 not out in February 2010 at the same venue. Shane Shillingford took six wickets for 167 runs.
