India 'A' have won the two-match unofficial 'Test' series against New Zealand 'A' by a two-nil margin. At Vijayawada today, the hosts defeated the visitors by an innings and 26 runs in the second match. After scoring 211 in their first innings, New Zealand 'A managed only 210 in their second essay, after starting the final day at 104 for 1. Henry Nicholls played a lone hand for the visitors with a knock of 94. For India, leg-spinner Karn claimed 5 wickets for 78 runs, while left-armspinner Nadeem had a tally of four for 41. Pacer Shardul Thakur took the other wicket.India 'A' had scored 447 in their only innings.New Zealand A have been completely outclassed in the series having lost the first 'Test' by an innings and 31 runs.
