India 346 for 5 wickets at the end of 1st day

India were 346 for the loss of five wickets in their first innings at stumps on the opening day of the second cricket Test against West Indies at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata today. Rahul Dravid scored 119 which was his 36th test century. Sachin Tendulkar failed to break the jinx of his 100th international century yet again. He scored 38.Earlier, India won the toss and elected to bat. The hosts got off to a brilliant start with both the openers Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir taking the score to 50 in the 10th over itself. However, Sehwag got out on 38 in the pre-lunch session. Gautam Gambhir was out for 65 in the post lunch session and the last man to return to the pavilion was Ishant Sharma who failed to score. VVS Laxman with 73 was at the crease. India is currently leading the 3-match series 1-0.
