India 214/3 at stumps on day two, trails by 119 runs

India were 214 for three in their first innings at close of play on the second day of the first Cricket Test against Australia in Melbourne on Tuesday. Rahul Dravid on 68 and Ishant Sharma, yet to open his account, were at the crease. After playing a fluent knock of 73, Sachin Tendulkar again missed to record his 100th international century. Opener Virender Sehwag smashed a quickfire 67 and became the fifth Indian batsman to complete 8,000 runs in Test Cricket. Earier, resuming at their overnight 277 for 6, the hosts were all out for 333, half an hour before Lunch.For India, Zaheer Khan claimed four wickets while Umesh Yadav and Ravichandran Ashwin took three wickets each.
