In Assam, indefinite curfew continues in violence hit Kokrajhar and Dhubri district . Official sources said that security has been intensified in Kokrajhar,Chirang and Dhubri district.13 columns of the army continues flag march at the vulnerable areas.

So far 73 people have lost their lives in ongoing violence. Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi requested the Centre to allow CBI to take over all cases of the recent violence.

Gogoi also said that, instruction had been given to seize all illegal arms in the violence marred areas. Meanwhile, relief measures are being carried out on war footing at the relief camps. Around 3 lakh 65 thousand people are being sheltered at 245 relief camps.EoM.mps.8-8-12
