In Assam, indefinite curfew has been clamped by the district administration at Haflong police station area in Dima Hasao district this afternoon. The Superintendent of Police of Dima Hasao said that at least 14 persons were injured including four cops when bandh supporters clashed with police. The supporters pelted stones on a designated camp of a former rebel group. The violence occurred on the second day of the 48 hours bandh called by the NC Hills Indigenous Peoples Forum demanding bifurcation of the district into two autonomous districts. Our Correspondent reports that security has been intensified and the situation is under control now.
