In women's cricket, India thrashed Sri Lanka by 10 wickets in their second ODI match at Pallekele to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.
Put in to bat first, hosts Sri Lanka scored 173 runs in the stipulated 50 overs with the help of Ama Kanchana's 47 and Nilakshi de Silva's 32 runs. For India, Renuka Singh claimed four wickets while Meghna Singh and Deepti Sharma took two wickets each.
In reply, Indian openers Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandhana achieved the target in just 25.4 overs. Mandhana remained unbeaten on 94 while Shafali contributed 71 runs.
The third and final match will be played on Thursday at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium at Kandy. Earlier, India also won the T20 series against Sri Lanka.
