In their post lunch session, India were 182 for 3 wickets against New Zealand on the opening day of the first cricket Test. He smashed nine boundaries before being caught by Martin Guptill at second slip off Bracewell in the 15th over in the innings. New Zealand pacer Trent Boult claimed the wicket of Gutam Gambhir, in his fifth over. Earlier, Indian Captain Mahender Singh Dhoni chose batting after winning toss in the first test of the two match series against Kiwis.
