Ind beat WI by 59 runs

In Cricket, Virat Kohli hit a superb 127, as Team India defeated the West Indies by 59 runs in the fourth ODI at Dharmasala last night. Sent in to bat, the hosts compiled a formidable 330 for 6 in the stipulated 50 overs. Kohli's 20th ton featured 13 fours and 3 sixes. Suresh Raina with 71 and Ajinkhya Rahane with 68 were the other valuable contributors. Chasing 331 for victory, the West Indies were bundled out for 271 in 48.1 overs. Bhuvneswar Kumar, Mohammed Shami, Umesh Yadav, debutant Akshar Patel and Ravinder Jadeja bagged 2 wickets each. Marlon Samuels scored 112 for the visitors. Kohli was adjudged man of the match. Earlier, the West Indies players called off the remaining part of India's tour, owing to pay dispute with its Board. During the toss, the entire West Indies squad walked out with Dwayne Bravo in an attempt to display the unity in the squad. After this fourth ODI, India and the West Indies were scheduled to play one more one dayer, one Twenty-20 and three Test matches.Sri Lanka will fill in the gap created by the West Indies cricket team ahead of the World Cup in January next year. Talking to AIR, spokesperson and Chairman of Cricket Committee of Sri Lanka Cricket Board, Ranjit Fernando said that it has been agreed to in principle to send the Sri Lankan national team to India from 1st to 15th of next month for a 5-match ODI series. He said that matters relating to logistics and venues are yet to be discussed with the BCCI.
