The Government has prepared a plan to increase all India's coal production and Coal India Limited to the level of One Billion Tonnes by 2022-23 and 2023-24 respectively. Coal and Mines Minister Pralhad Joshi in Rajya Sabha said, increased production plan contributes towards achieving a Five trillion Dollar economy.<br />'' <br />'' Minister said, as per the Coal Inventory of India, the total coal resource in the country is 3.44 thousand million tonnes. He said, about 215 million tonnes of coal were imported from other countries.<br />''
