The incidents of LWE violence have reduced by 77 percent, to 505 in 2021 from an all-time high of two thousand 258 in 2009. Similarly, the resultant deaths including civilians and security forces have also reduced by 85 percent to 147 in 2021 from an all-time high of 1005 in 2010.<br />''<br />''This was stated by Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha today. He said, the geographical spread of the violence has also decreased as only 46 districts reported LWE-related violence in 2021 as compared to 96 districts in 2010. Mr. Rai said, the government has made continuous efforts for security up-gradation and strengthening of Special Forces to deal with the LWE menace in an effective manner.<br />''<br />''He said, the government has taken several steps for the development of LWE-affected States.
