In UP, the normal life remained paralyzed due to incessant rain in different parts of the state. Three people have died in the incidents of house collapse in Jaunpur and Ambedkar Nagar today raising the death toll in the state to 23 during past three days.

Over a dozen houses collapsed in a village in Banda when an overflowing pond caved in. AIR Gorakhpur correspondent quoting Central Water Commission reports that the river Ghaghra is still flowing above the danger mark in Gonda and Barabanki. The river Sharada is flowing above the danger mark in Palia Kalan.
