Many parts of Odisha are experiencing incessant rain due to the low pressure formed over north-west Bay of Bengal, off Odisha coast. The low pressure is now centred over south of Odisha and adjoining areas.According to the the meterological office at Bhubaneswar, heavy to very heavy rain is likely to occur at some places over coastal Odisha during the next 48 hours.The highest rainfall has been recorded at Chandbali with 34.4 mm during the last 24 hours. The heavy rainfall has increased the water level in upper catchments of Mahanadi, Rushikulya and Bansadhara. Water level of Bansadhara is flowing above the danger level in Kashinagar.
