Incessant rain in few districts of Karnatka disrupts normal life

The incessant rain in Gulbarga and Kodagu districts of Karnataka has disrupted normal life. In Gulbarga, the fire brigade has been pressed into service for flushing out stagnant water in the low lying areas. Schools and Colleges remained closed. Revenue Department has estimated crop loss in over one lakh three thousand hectares of land amounting to 102 crore rupees. Twenty people lost their lives in house collapse, drowning and lightning in the State. The met forecast says, moderate to rather heavy rain will lash all the districts of Coastal Karnataka during next 48 hours.
