<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">Union Minister of Ports, Shipping & Waterways and Ayush Sarbananda Sonowal today inaugurated an Ayush Building Complex at Kharghar in Navi Mumbai. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sonowal said, the Indian traditional medical practices have been effective over many centuries. He said, the idea to incorporate the benefits of this branch of medicine in addition to modern medicine was brought forward by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the objective is to make these two institutions – Regional Research Institute of Homoeopathy (RRIH) & Regional Research Institute of Unani Medicine (RRIUM) into Centres of Excellence for Allergic Disorder and Regimental Therapy respectively. </p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><br />''</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">These institutes will provide facilities like patient consultation, medicines, and laboratory facilities for routine haematology and biochemistry for the paediatric, geriatric and general population and are headed by separate in-charges of Homoeopathy and Unani respectively.</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"> </p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">The Union Minister further added that the Ministry of Ayush has been taking steps to encourage, energise and expedite the promotion and application of traditional medical practices for better patient care. Today, with the inauguration of this infrastructure, it has moved a step closer to this objective.
