In very rare conjunction, Jupiter and Saturn came very close

The world witnessed a rarest celestial event yesterday. In a very rare conjunction, Jupiter and Saturn came very close. Many observers and science enthusiasts have observed the fete in the sky. Jupiter and Saturn are fifth and sixth planets from Sun. The two gas giants appear close to each other once every 20 years. However, yesterday evening's conjunction was the closest of recent times. The angle between Jupiter and Saturn as seen from Earth, is less than 0.1 degrees. The closest conjunction was viewed in a single telescopic view. This could be seen for few more days. Several observatories and planetariums have organised web streaming of the event.
”
”The Hanle observatory in Ladakh is one of the world's highest located sites for optical, infrared and gamma-ray telescopes.
”
”Jupiter and Saturn came into a close conjunction in 1961, 1682 and 1683 but Jupiter and Saturn were too close to the Sun then. In 1623 on the 16th of July, it was three times closer than Monday's event. The next such close conjunction will take place only in 2080 with about 0.1 degree apart.
