In Tennis, India had a mixed day in Asian Games

India had a mixed day at Tennis competition in the Asian Games as Karan Rastogi and Vishnu Vardhan started their campaign with a comfortable victory in men's double while Rushmi Chakravarti and Poojashree Venkatesha crashed out of the women's doubles inthe first round.Rastogi and Vardhan thrashed the Hong Kong pair of Cheuk-Wai Jack Hui and Xiaopeng Lai 6-1, 6-3 to advance to the second round of the competition. Rushmi and Poojashree, on the other hand, proved no match to their strong Japanese opponents of Misaki Doi and Ryoko Fuda. Doi and Fuda ousted the Indians 6-3, 6-1 in the first round match.
