In Pakistan, security forces have killed 30 militants and destroyed several hideouts in the tribal areas around Peshawar in an operation since Saturday.The security officials said that the operation was launched after authorities received information that militants were regrouping in the area and making plans to launch subversive activities in Peshawar, the capital of Khyber-Pakthunkhwa province. The officials said, besides the 30 militants killed, two security personnel have also been injured in the anti-insurgency operation.The security forces claimed they cleared Bora and Hassan Khel areas after overcoming tough resistance from militants and are now clearing Pastonai area.
