In Pakistan, at least 21 suspected militants killed in US drone attack in restive North Waziristan tribal region

In Pakistan at least 21 suspected militants were killed when a US drone targeted a compound in the restive North Waziristan tribal region on Friday. State-run Radio Pakistan and TV channels reported that 21 persons were killed and three others injured when the CIA-operated spy plane fired two missiles at a compound in the “Datta Khel” area near the Afghan border. Eye witnesses said the strike destroyed a house.
Datta Khel is considered a stronghold of Hafiz Gul Bahadur, the commander of a Taliban faction accused of sending fighters across the border to fight foreign troops in Afghanistan.
