In Pakistan, militants this morning attacked a police station on the outskirt of Bannu city where at least eight persons including three policemen were killed. Police said, the incident took place at Kakki police station located at a distance of 14 kilometers from Bannu city.

Militants besieged the police station with hand grenades and then opened fire that killed five persons who had come out of the mosque after offering prayers. Three cops were also injured in the fire exchange who later succumbed to their injuries.

Police told that four suicide attackers were also killed in the counter attack while the search for another one is underway.
