In Jammu & Kashmir, the gunfight between militants and the security forces is going on inside the multi storied govt complex of J&K Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI) on Srinagar Jammu National Highway in the town in Pulwama district.<br/>The Army, CRPF and J&K Police had launched joint operation after unidentified militants attacked a CRPF convoy bus near multi storeyed EDI complex in Pampore town late afternoon yesterday . The militants later entered the Institute complex after attacking the security personnel with grenades and assault rifles.<br/><br/>Yesterday, all the people including employees and students trapped inside the EDI campus were safely evacuated by security forces. Sources said militants did not take any one hostage after entering into the Institute Complex.<br/>A top Police official told AIR that the area remained besieged since the gunfight raged yesterday afternoon. He said the operation was going on and into it's 30th hour now . The Srinagar Jammu National highway passing through Pampore town has been closed and the traffic towards south Kashmir areas has been diverted to other routes.
