In Jammu & Kashmir, for the first time since July 09 the markets opened in summer capital's Lal Chowk and civil lines areas in Srinagar and elsewhere in Kashmir. Reports said that markets opened in old city areas in Srinagar, towns and villages while huge private transport plied on city and inter district roads leading to traffic jams at various places. <br/><br/>No untoward incident was reported from any part of the Valley. <br/>The curfew had been lifted from entire Kashmir Valley today following improvement in the overall situation. However, the restrictions under Sec 144 CrPC on the assembly of people remained imposed in many sensitive areas to maintain law and order.
