In Irani Cup Rest of India 330 for 5 against Mumbai on the opening day

In the Irani Cup first-class match, Rest of India were 330 for 5 against Mumbai, at stumps on the opening day today at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Suresh Raina on 36 and Harbhajan Singh, who is yet to open his account, were at the crease.Earlier, put into bat, Rest of India got off to a ballistic start, as openers Shikhar Dhawan and Murali Vijay shared 144 runs for the opening wicket. Shikhar Dhawan was the first one to go, as he was cleaned up by Shardul Thakur at 63. Murali Vijay then scored his second successive Irani Cup century, paving the way for strong first innings score. However, he was out for 116. After the wicket of Vijay, a couple of wickets fell and when stumps were drawn, Rest of India were 330 for 5.For Ranji Winners Mumbai, Abhishek Nayar bagged two wickets, while Dhawal Kulkarni, Shardul Thakur and Rohit Sharma took one apiece.
