In his first address to the annual Dussehra rally after becoming Maharashtra Chief Minister, Shiv Sena President Udhdhav Thackeray elaborately justified his decision of not opening religious places in the State amid COVID-19 prevalence.<br />'' <br />'' He emphasised that his government has committed to help the people of the State to fight against the Coronavirus. He also stated that right from the beginning, he followed the opening of the economy in the State in a phased manner and he will follow the same principle ahead despite opposition's heavy criticism.<br />''  <br />'' Talking about his government's overall performance within a year's span, Thackeray said the decision of shifting Mumbai metro car shade from Aare colony to Government owned land at Kanjurmarg was inclusive and futuristic. He reiterated that the decision saved 800 acres of greenbelt of the metropolis. He also said that the State is gaining with crores of business investments and asked the sons of soil to avail the employment opportunities.<br />''  <br />'' Thackeray said the existing GST tax system is not giving states like Maharashtra own crores of rupees GST returns.<br />''
