Pakistan Army has again violated ceasefire by resorting to unprovoked
firing last night along Line of Control (LoC) in Balakote and Mendhar sectors in Poonch district in Jammu & Kashmir.

Defence sources told AIR that Pakistan Army targeted forward Panjani Nallah post of Balakote Sector around 9 P.M. which lasted for around one and a half hours.Pakistan forces again started firing in Dera Dibsi forward populated area in Mendhar sector around 11 P.M. which continued till 2:30 A.M.

Sources confirmed that the Pakistan Army used small and automatic weapons while Indian troops also retaliated effectively with similar calibre weapons.

No damage to any property, casualty or injury from this side has been reported till reports last came in. This was the sixth ceasefire violation in the past five days.
