In Bihar, notification for the second phase of elections will be issued today. AIR Patna correspondent reports that 45 constituencies spread across six districts – Sitamarhi, Sheohar, Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur, Samastipur and East Champaran of the state will go to the polls in this phase on the 24th of October. The last day for filing of nominations for the second phase is the 6th of next month and scrutiny will be done the next day and candidates can withdraw their nomination papers till October 9. AIR correspondent reports that the BJP has released the list of 87 candidates.
