In Bihar five hardcore Maoists were arrested today following an encounter between security forces and rebels at Suermanawa forest in Rohtash district. AIR Patna correspondent reports that the encounter lasted for about two hours. Superintendent of Police Manu Maharaj said a joint team of police and CRPF’s CoBRA unit launched an operation based on specific intelligence input. Three rifles, 25 detonators, 25 live cartridges and three magazines and other weapons were seized from the ultras. He said, a combing and search operation is continuing in Suarmanwa forest to nab more Maoists.
