In Andhra Pradesh, a campaign to create awareness among the people about various development and welfare programmes of the UPA Government has been launched. A public rally in which 1500 persons participated was held in the Hyderabad to mark the beginning of the campaign. On the first day, the campaign focused on rural employment and organised conferences and interactive programmes with the people. Right to Information, women empowerment, food security and Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan will remain in focus for the next few days for the benefit of people from the rural areas. A large number of public representatives from the district are attending the campaign. Press Information Bureau, Hyderabad along with other media units of Information and Broadcasting Ministry and the district administration is organizing the campaign.
