Railway Minister Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu has said improvement in the convenience, amenities and safety of the railway passengers remain the priority of Railway Ministry. He was speaking at the inauguration of several new train services and launching some passenger amenities at the Howrah station today.<br/><br/>App-based online and mobile facilities have been provided for passenger safety and booking of ticket .Cleanliness and improving food quality and dishes options are other areas in which improvements have been noticed. <br/><br/>Mr. Prabhu, on this occasion, formally launched the tunnelling work of the East-West Metro project that will go from under the river Hooghly to east Kolkata from the Howrah-end and flagged off 5 new trains including Howrah-Yashwantpu?r? weekly AC Express and some suburban services.
