In Kerala With a view to strictly implement security measures in waterway transport, Kerala Inland Vessels Act 2010 would be implemented from September<br/>15, state Ports Minister V Surendran Pilla said in Thiruvananthapuram today.<br/>Though the state announced the new Act in April last in the wake of Thekkady tourist boat tragedy that claimed more than 40 lives, it could not be put into practice due to various reasons, he said at a meeting in Thiruvanthapuram .<br/>
