In Manipur, more than one lakh and 62 thousand voters will franchise their voting rights on Wednesday for the Imphal Municipal Council Elections to elect 27 councilors and 54 ward development committee members. Official sources from the State Election Commission said that out of the total number of 241 polling stations 73 have been declared hyper sensitive, 96 sensitive and 72 normal. Meanwhile, polling personnel have started to reach at their respective polling stations from today. Altogether five polling personnel including one presiding officer will man every polling station. Adequate security arrangement has also been made to insure free and fair elections.
