The Inter-Ministerial Group, IMG which met in New Delhi yesterday has recommended the de-allocation of two more coal blocks, Dahegaion Makardhokra and Bhaskarpara in Chattisgarh as the allottees failed to operationalise the coal blocks.

With this the number of de-allocation has gone up to 13 out of the 29 discussed by the IMG. The IMG has finished discussing coal blocks allotted to private companies.

Now, it is likely to take up the coal blocks allotted to public sector units from 9th of next month.
