The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is starting talks with Pakistan today on what financial aid can be given to the country to deal with the devastating floods. The Pakistani government estimates that reconstruction will cost about 15 billion dollars. The Sindh province in the south is now being described as the worst hit. Officials say at least two lakh residents have fled in the past 24 hours. The World Health Organisation says disease is spreading in affected areas.
