IMF expects India's economic growth to accelerate

The International Monetary Fund has said that it expects India's economic growth to accelerate, and inch closer to that of China. Talking to reporters in Washington, IMF Managing Director Dominique Strauss-Kahn said there is some concern about inflation, especially food prices, but globally, India is doing very well. Saying that a lot of things have been done which are growth friendly, he added that a huge part of the public debt is financed by Indian savings, which makes Indian public financing immune to the increasing risk created by inflows.
