<span style="color: #000000;">The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned of heavy rainfall in coastal, north and south interior parts of Karnataka for next five days due to the formation of a low-pressure area in the Bay of Bengal.<br />'' <br />''The Director of the IMD unit of Bengaluru, C S Patil said that orange alert has been issued in Uttara Kannada, Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Chickmagalur, Shivamogga, Hassan and Kodagu districts while Yellow alert has been sounded in Belagavi, Dharwad, Kalburagi, Yadgir and Raichur districts. He informed that Uttara Kannada received 12 centimeters rainfall, Udupi 10 centimeters and Kodagu 7 Centimeters rainfall earlier today.</span><br />
