IMD issues warning of heavy rainfall in Mumbai, Konkan regions and coastal areas of Maharashtra for next few days

The India Meteorological Department has issued a Red '' for Mumbai and Orange '' for Kokan.<b> </b>On the basis of this , Maharashtra Chief Minister Udhhav Thackeray has taken review of the situation from Mumbai Municipal Corporation Control Room and discussed it with District Collectors of Thane, Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg and Palghar for immediate precautionary measures.<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">AIR Correspondent reports, the India Meteorological Department has announced the arrival of monsoon and forecast moderate to heavy rains for the next two to three days in Kokan, coastal area and Mumbai region. Red and orange 's' have been issued to these regions. Considering the possibility of heavy rains, the Chief Minister had instructed the Disaster Management Department, local authorities to convene a meeting and be and vigilant. He also instructed to ensure that no form of patient care, including COVID, would be disrupted. Thackeray has also directed the police and other agencies to take immediate action to remove the traffic obstructions in Mumbai.</span>
