IMD forecasts heavy rain and snowfall over J&K, Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh; Issues warning for landslides and disruption in supply of electricity

India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast the possibility of intense rain and snowfall over the Western Himalayan Region from today and adjoining plains of northwest India from Monday, till the 22nd of this month.<br />”<br />”In view of heavy rainfall and snowfall over Jammu Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad and Himachal Pradesh from Sunday to Tuesday, the Weather agency had suggested some measures for the concerned areas. It said there might be a disruption of Electricity, Landslides, rock falls, mudslides and blocking of roads and highways.<br />”<br />”Meanwhile, in the country's capital Delhi, there is a daily decrease in cold due to sunshine during the day. Today, the maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 27 and 8 degrees Celsius. The air quality level in Delhi was recorded in the &quot;poor&quot; category this morning. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the Air Quality Index stood at 255 at 7 AM.<br />
