<span style="color: #222222;">In Chennai, the Inter-Ministerial Central Team made an on-the-spot assessment of the COVID-19 situation by visiting various facilities for the second day today. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Meanwhile, 64 people have been identified as positive for the disease today while 60 others discharged. Though the total infection count has surged to 1885, the active caseload has come down to 838. The death toll has gone up to 24, as another person succumbed to the disease today.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">AIR Correspondent reports, the five-member Inter-Ministerial Central Team led by the Additional Secretary in the National Disaster Management Authority Dr. Thiruppugazh split into two groups today and inspected several facilities in Chennai. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The first team started with a visit to the state disaster management control room. Its members inspected the data analysis centre established recently at a cost of Rs 50 lakh to compile and analyse all crucial data relating to the pandemic. The team later paid a visit to the wholesale market, a subsidized "Amma Canteen" and a 532-bedded isolation facility established at the ITPO convention centre in the city. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">They also inspected the control room for the welfare of the differently abled people and also the arrangements in the Chennai Port. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Meanwhile, the second group inspected various medical facilities in Chennai and reviewed the treatment facilities. The city carries the maximum number of patients and the new cases are also consistently higher than in other places in the state.</span><br />
