Former Union Telecom Minister Dayanidhi Maran and his brother Kalanidhi Maran appeared before a CBI court in Chennai today as main accused in the illegal telephone connections case. <br/><br/>Five other accused in the case also appeared before a CBI Special Judge, who posted the matter to July 28 for framing of charges.<br/><br/>Last year, the CBI had filed a charge sheet against Dayanidhi Maran, Kalanithi among others, for allegedly using 764 high-speed data lines at his residence. These lines were used by Sun TV channel, causing a loss of 1.78 crore rupees to the exchequer.
