Illegal mining issue stalls both Houses of Legislature in Karnataka

The issue of illegal mining stalled both the Houses of Legislature in Karnataka today.<br/><br/>After the overnight dharna, the entire Opposition reiterated their demand for a CBI enquiry into the illegal mining today. <br/><br/>They also asked the Chief Minister to remove the tainted ministers from his cabinet. Unrelenting to this demand, the Government considered entrusting the enquiry to Lokayukta. <br/><br/>When the stand off continued the Speaker of the Assembly and Chairman of the Council adjourned the house till tomorrow. The Opposition continues to occupy the Lobby of the Legislature, in protest against the Government, which is disinclined to meet their demands.
