Illegal mining case: K’taka HC reserves order on Krishna’s plea

The Karnataka High Court today reserved its orders on a petition filed by External Affairs Minister S M Krishna.The petition sought quashing of the lower court order to investigate the charges that S M Krishna allegedly de reserved forest land for mining purpose during his tenure as Chief Minister of Karnataka.Judge N Ananda reserved the orders after he heard the submissions made by Senior Counsel Uday Lalith appearing for S M Krishna and objections filed by the respondent T J Abhraham. The Judge also extended the stay on proceedings in the lower court till the orders are pronounced in the High Court.
