The Special Court for CBI in Hyderabad has today rejected the bail petition of mining baron and Karnataka former Minister Mr. Gali Janardhan Reddy who was arrested on charges of illegal mining. The bail petition of Obulapuram Mining Company Managing Director, Mr. Srinivas Reddy was also turned down. Declining to grant bail to both of them, the court remanded them to CBI custody upto 19th of this month. The court delivered its orders this morning after two days of arguments over CBI custody and bail petition of Mr. Janardhan Reddy and Mr Srinivas Reddy.The CBI arrested both Mr. Janardhan Reddy and Mr. Srinivas Reddy on September 5th at Bellary on charges of their involvement in illegal iron ore mining in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. They are currently put up in Chanchalguda Jail in Hyderabad.
