Minister of State for Home Affairs, Kiren Rijiju has said that illegal migration coupled with human trafficking, drugs and weapons smuggling and hawala trade poses a serious threat to stability. <br/><br/>He said, large scale immigration leads to the fear of erosion of culture, ethnic and religious unity of the receiving society. <br/><br/>He was addressing the first Ministerial Meeting of the Head of Migration authorities of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, the BRICS countries in Sochi, Russia on Thursday. <br/><br/>Stating that migration flow is unstoppable in the present era of globalization, Mr Rijiju said that there is a need to make it transparent, safe and orderly by undertaking awareness campaigns to promote legal migration. <br/><br/>He said, India pursues a policy of zero tolerance for illegal migration. <br/><br/>He said, the government has recently launched the e-Migrate Project to facilitate on line migration process to improve efficiency as well as transparency in the system. <br/><br/>Mr Rijiju also informed that Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs has entered into Social Security Agreements with 19 countries. <br/><br/>He said, efforts are being made to have Social Security Agreements with more countries so that the interests of Indian Diaspora in various countries are properly taken care of.<br/>
