IIT Bombay's Racing team emerged as overall champion in Electric Vehicle Category in recently held Formula Bharat 2024 competition. The team outshone 41 other teams across India. IIT Bombay said, in the Electric category, the team secured the first place overall and also emerged victorious in Static events, bagging the first place. In the Cost Event, the team came in second place, while in Vehicle Dynamics (VED), they secured the third place. Additionally, the team also received a special award for the best control system.<br />”<br />”Team has developed 'E13' vehicle weighing 260kg and can achieve top speed of 150 kmph. It has an all-carbon fibre monocoque chassis. The new battery and battery management system of the car has been developed in-house.
