IISS begins 7th regional security summit in Manama

The International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) has begun its 7th regional security summit in the Bahraini capital of Manama, with a focus on the Gulf security. The summit, named the Manama Dialogue, will draw together the highest concentration of policymakers involved in regional security. Nearly 25 government delegations, including prime ministers, foreign and defence ministers, chiefs of defence staff will attend the summit alongside military and intelligence chiefs and distinguished delegates from the private sector. According to the IISS, Manama Dialogue is the most important regional security meeting in West Asia and an anchor for regional security diplomacy.
