The Centre for Product Design and Manufacturing in the Bengaluru-based Indian Institute of Science has designed eye gaze controlled computer interface for people with Severe Speech and Motor Impairment, SSMI, a condition caused by disorders like cerebral palsy. <br />''<br />''The eye gaze controlled robotic arm that can be manipulated by eye movement for using computer will enable SSMI persons to use their eye gaze to perform mechanical tasks independently. <br />''<br />''This interface is non-invasive, unlike other eye gaze tracking devices that use head mounted systems.
