IIMC holds its 51st convocation ceremony in New Delhi

<span style="color: #222222;">The Indian Institute of Mass Communication, IIMC, today held its 51st convocation ceremony in New Delhi. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan was the chief guest in the event. It is for the time that the premier Institute has given postgraduate diplomas in Sanskrit, Marathi and Malayalam. This year a large number of students graduated from the institute. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">In her convocation address, Ms Mahajan urged media to be responsible while reporting. She also said that the media should refrain itself from sensationalising any issues of public interest. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">She said, responsible media helps in the development of democracy. Emphasizing on the importance of the regional languages, the Lok Sabha Speaker said, effective communication in the diverse country like India can be made possible with the local language. </span>
