IIM-A hikes fee for flagship 2-year programme by Rs 1 lakh

Indian Institute of Management -Ahmedabad- IIMA Board has approved the increase of fees for its two year post-graduate programs to Rs 19.50 lakh from Rs 18.50 lakh. The enhanced fee is applicable from 2016-18 batches. The amount is cumulative fee for both years, including tuition, academic support, case materials, books, accommodation, basic health care, medical insurance, and alumni association membership fee. <br/><br/>IIMA fee increases have tended to lag inflation rate over the past several years. According to official press release of IIMA, the proposed fee increase would be 10% lower in inflation adjusted terms compared to 2009-11 fees. <br/><br/>Professor Ashish Nanda, Director IIMA has said that the Institute feels a moral commitment to ensure that all deserving candidates that are admitted to the two year post-graduate programs avail of the program irrespective of their economic circumstances. <br/><br/>The Institute is committed to continue the most generous scholarship scheme for deserving students among management schools in India.
